At Zenith Chiropractic, our focus is to provide targeted care to meet your individual needs. Learn how here:

NeuroStructual vs. Conventional Chiropractic - Conventional Chiropractic uses generalized adjustments focused on increasing range of motion, decreasing muscular spasm, and temporarily relieving pain. NeuroStructural Chiropractic takes a precision approach to the spine by understanding the relationship between Structural Shifts in the upper cervical (upper neck) region and the onset of Secondary Conditions (also known as symptoms).

When Structural Shifts occur, a variety of Secondary Conditions are likely to emerge in the same way that a shift in the foundation of a building would produce squeaky floorboards, doors that stick, and cracks in the walls. Conventional “patch-and-fix” methods are effective for addressing many symptoms, but these issues are likely to reappear if the structural cause is not corrected.

At Zenith Chiropractic, we use Objective Measurements that not only uncover Structural Shifts, but also provide the blueprint for safely and effectively directing your body back to Normal Structure where it heals and functions best.

The upper portion of the neck (upper cervical spine) has unique characteristics that make it the “weakest link” in the spine and as such susceptible to injury. Slips and falls, poor posture, sports injuries, whiplash, and car accidents are just a few of many factors that can contribute to Structural Shifts in the upper neck region. Atlas Displacement Complex (ADC) is a condition involving abnormal alignment, mechanics, and nervous system function stemming from the upper neck - also known as upper cervical vertebral subluxation.

ADC can contribute to disruptions in blood and spinal fluid flow through the brain, mechanical tension on the spinal cord, structural stress to the discs and ligaments of the spine, and distorted nerve signals into the brain. When this happens, one or more secondary conditions (a.k.a. symptoms) are likely to emerge including:

  • Headaches / migraines
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Neck pain
  • Back pain
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Leg pain
  • Numbness and tingling
  • TMJ issues
  • Spinal degeneration
  • Infertility
  • Vertigo
  • Digestive issues
  • Shoulder Pain
  • Decreased Range of Motion
  • Muscular Imbalance
  • Chronic Ear Infections
  • Degenerative Joint Disease

At Zenith Chiropractic we focus on correcting Atlas Displacement Complex rather than attempting to mask symptoms. We use state of the art technology and Blair Upper Cervical Specific technique to safely and effectively obtain lasting correction without twisting or popping the neck or back.

There are many treatment options all with different goals and objectives. Many traditional and alternative medical providers focus on pain and symptom relief (Secondary Condition management) and do an excellent job.

People often start with medication or herbal remedies (over the counter or prescription) to block pain receptors. If that doesn’t work, physical therapy may be used to address faulty movement patterns, strengthen weaknesses, or treat soft tissue issues such as muscle spasm/adhesion.

When all of these methods fail, more invasive procedures such as injections at the site of pain and surgery may potentially enter the picture. All of these treatment options are effective in the appropriate circumstances and have different goals.

Step One - Before Your Evaluation

The first step is to schedule a Complimentary Consultation with the Doctor. This simple conversation will give you the opportunity to explain your needs and goals, learn about our solution, and determine if Zenith Chiropractic is the right place for you. We will also discuss common questions and concerns relating to chiropractic care.

Step Two - The NeuroStructural Evaluation Process

We use objective testing to determine the best course of care for our patients. The NeuroStructural Evaluation process includes: Multi Axial Structural Imaging, Digital Structural Analysis, NeuroThermal Analysis, NeuroFunctional Assessment - evidence of your problem that you can see for yourself.

Step Three - The Blueprint

Following the completion of your examination, a Conference will be scheduled to go over your results and individualized Program of Correction. We encourage the attendance of a family member or friend for this insightful discussion. At this time you will receive your initial adjustment.

Step Four - Measure Progress

Your individualized Program of Correction will involve strategies for inside of the office as well as outside of the office. As we progress through your care we will work together to make sure that you are progressing toward our goals. Upon completion of your Program of Correction, we will then re-test to measure the progress that’s been achieved. At this time we will discuss long term strategies and any additional care that may be required to meet your needs.
